Lelize Bass Pier

The story behind the lanterns

About Lelize Bass Pier

Lelize Bass Pier is a compact browser strategy game about a pier, a nest and the creatures who protect it. It runs on your own device, costs nothing and asks for nothing.

A round carnival-glass window in magenta, teal, gold and indigo with a lantern at its centre
The lantern wheel that greets every visit, set in magenta, teal, gold and indigo glass.

A pier made of glass

Picture an old wooden pier at dusk, every board glowing through coloured glass. That is the world of the game: each pane is a stretch of water, each dark seam a plank or a reed. The nest waits at the far end, and the invaders follow the lantern light straight towards it.

How the defense works

Pike and catfish swim in along a winding channel from the left edge. You spend shells to place herons, nets and otters on the posts beside the water and upgrade them as the waves grow. Hold out for ten waves with at least one heart and the nest is safe; your score adds every invader stopped plus a bonus for each heart left.

The lantern wheel

On your first visit a carnival wheel of eight glass panes spins without any button and settles on one charm: extra shells, more hearts, a slower tide, a free otter and more. The pick happens at random in your browser, lasts for the current session and only changes how this game plays.

Free to play, nothing more

There are no purchases, deposits, prizes or ways to swap shells, points or charms for money or anything of value. The game is not a gambling product and does not imitate betting. It is a strategy puzzle with fish and lanterns.

Made for grown-ups

The site is intended for adults aged 19 and over. Play at your own pace, take regular breaks and remember that a good score here says nothing about luck anywhere else.
